When did suddenly not understanding the Connecticut Compromise because they lost seats become a Democratic talking point?

Incredibly disingenuous post. We all understand why it was implemented in the 18th century, but that doesn't mean we have to support its continued existence in the 21st century.

The Founding Fathers weren't divinely inspired, people. Just because they supported something way back then doesn't necessarily mean it was right then or now.

Very interesting how none of the condescending "muh Senate is necessary to prevent the tyranny of large states" advocates a similar system in their own state legislatures, where the big cities dominate the state senate at the "expense" of less populated rural counties.

Its also very, very peculiar that Democrats are just now finding a problem with the Senate.  I don't remember this when we had Majority Leader Harry Reid from 2010-2014?

LOL, Democrats have been saying this for years, including times when we had 60 senators and you know it.

McConnell went along with Trump power grab to secure conservative majority, you dont change senate due to one man, you defeat him and dems have to win Senate back

It's still inherently wrong to have disproportionate representation, no matter who's in charge. Texas shouldn't have the same number of senators as Delaware.

I can't say I've heard that before. Sources please

As much as I agree with you, Harry, as well as John Dingell, I have to concur. Sources?

The one another point, the absolute will to which the Senate has been used to enforce the tyranny of the minority since the democratic supermajority a decade ago has been breathtaking. Is Mitch McConnell governed his 51 or 52 seat Maggiore with anywhere near the same relative restraint the Democrats governed with their 60-seat supermajority, I doubt we'd be having this discussion. But that doesn't happen because Republicans can't survive on majority rule.

It's been discussed on and off on this forum for years. If the search feature works, you should be able to find the threads.

If the left is so obsessed with "majority rules" then why are they obsessed with minorities? Transgendered people make up a scant 0.03% of our U.S. population. Yet liberals focus a dramatic amount of effort. Shouldn't they be more focused on the majority over a scant minority?

You need to either recheck your numbers or learn how percents work.
