This is the same story with every element that supported Trump, including mainstream Republicans like Mitch McConnell btw. They are happy to be bedfellows with Trump as long as he's in power and has control over him. They don't actually like, care, or respect Trump. They're all opportunists and dirtbags. So it's no surprise that the second Trump is out of power they are all turning on him. Now the GOP is saying they want these people out. Too late, those people are your people, that's all you have left.
So 75 million people are bigots in your mind
75 million people are accepting of having a bigot as president.
There is a Venn diagram that can analyze the significant chunk of whom are in fact bigots versus those who are merely soft on bigotry and reflect it in their votes.

And no, I quite justifiably am dismayed that 75 million people could, for any reason whatsoever, bring themselves to vote for someone so manifestly and completely unfit for the office of President.
