Pete's in a way better position to win the nomination than Klobuchar is; this will only help Sanders beat a divided field.

Citation desperately needed.

In two states demographically favourable to him and where he has by far invested the most resources, Buttigieg failed to win. There is no path forward for him
He won Iowa

I'm not anti Pete or Pro Bernie , but the fact is Bernie won Iowa by several thousand votes, regardless of how the bizarre ass caucus rules ultimately distributed their delegate count.

You mean the bizarre a** rules that have been used in every prior Iowa Caucus and that no one complained about until after it became clear Bernie had lost?

Said bizarre ass rules have always been rather sketchy in terms of the separation between popular vote and delegates awarded.

My point Remains the Same, been on the most important measurement of popular support in Iowa, you know, actual votes, Sanders handily won.

I'm anything but a Bernie bro, but that's the only honest way to assess Iowa's results.

The Pete derangement syndrome on this forum is insane. How the hell is Pete repeating “Republican talking points”?! Can you name a single damn Republican in the Senate or House who supports a public option in the same way as Pete or Amy?

No! Yes, he got more delegates by literally a fraction of a single delegate, but Bernie Sanders won the popular vote. I am not a Sanders supporter nor do I have the Rabid dislike of buttigieg that pervades so many people on Atlas, but let's call a spade a spade.

Yes, he won more delegates, but he felt second place in the actual voting. Any truly accurate statement here by the media or anyone else would be Sanders won the Iowa caucuses, but with an asterisk that buttigieg, due to the allocation process used by the caucus, w o n the delegate count by a fraction of a delegate.

This isn't a pro Sanders or anti buttigieg opinion, it is a pro reality statement.

Ron Paul use the Regional and delegate convention system of the caucuses to win the overwhelming number of delegates in the 2012 Iowa caucuses. That's fine and good as it was according to the rules - - though it raising some serious questions about the rules themselves - - but he only finished a strong third in the caucuses. He did not "win" them.

Buttigieg is not favored to win any higher office in Indiana. His jump to a presidential run was telling in that regard.

Absolutely not. He raised tons of money that will be converted over to his gov or sen campaign in Indiana.

Dude, it's 2020's INDIANA. He's not getting elected to the Senate there any time.

Well, maybe Governor in 4 years now that I think about it. He probably needs some redistricting help to have a good shot at the second district against Jackie what's her face.

LOL good luck with that after the attacks. I've resigned myself to voting for Biden on Tuesday.

If I were in your position, I would at least consider Warren because she is pretty clearly the closest to Buttigieg in the race being a technocrat and this is a state where she can be competitive. Anywhere else I hold my nose and vote for the guy who will be a vegetable in office.

Fwiw, if we're up to me to wave a magic wand and pick the next president out of all our candidates, and didn't have to worry about the messy business of either having a chance at the nomination or not pandering, stumbling enough to beat Trump, I gladly pick Warren. However, neither of those criteria fit her so, Biden it is. I think.
