It looks like a 3rd world country.  The left extremism is tearing the country apart.

The democratic party could and should be doing far more than it is to put down this kind of behavior.

You have the CANDIDATE. TRUMP HIMSELF!!!!!! Heartily encouraging physical violence against protesters and hecklers, and you want to blame THE DEMOCRATS for not doing enough?!?

Congratulations, you're both far, far beyond hacks or capable of making a salient point during intelligent discourse.

Go home and play with your blocks.

So Trump said a few things like "I wish someone would knock him out" and that's supposed to be morally equivalent to the democratic party's silence as thousands of people riot in the streets and commit countless acts of violence?

I only ever hear of violence from Trump's people as one-offs, someone throwing a punch every couple weeks.  That isn't at all equivalent to these gigantic, violent, destructive, illegal "protests" (they're riots, not protests) on the democratic party's side.

So actual repeated straight from the mouth instigations of violence by the candidate himself--followed by violence from supporters against hecklers that video footage has likewise repeatedly shown to be started by the supporters (can't speak to the ongoing fracas in SD), and you're questioning whether it's the moral equivalent of Democrats not objecting to people exercising their right to heckle? Think about it: you and your friends are literally outnumbered 500 to one by an angry mob surrounding you, and we're supposed to believe the hecklers are the ones starting the shoving and punching? Oh wait--consider the severely challenged audience--of course you do.

OF COURSE there isn't any moral equivalency here! Trump's direct instigation of violence are morally FAR FAR FAR worse by any rational standard.

Ah, rational. I forgot there's a reason the bad and absurd post thread is named for you.

Good Day, sir!

I will say this: When will idiots like those protesters learn draping one's self in and waving Mexican flags isn't winning them friends? At a Cinco de Mayo parade--great. When protesting against someone they don't want to be president of AMERICA--dumb.

No, the thug protesters with masks on their faces waving Mexican flags and behaving like a bunch of radical anarchists are the issue here.  The democratic party has become beholden to this nonsense.

The Second Amendment exists because tyranny, corruption, and abuse of power are unfortunate parts of the human experience.  I say this because what these people are doing is one of the starts of a tyrannical governance.   Shutting down opposite points of view.

So, the Second Amendment exists so we can shoot down Mexicans who get mouthy during a white man's political speech. Got it.

And our party's outreach continues....Roll Eyes

Yeah, that has serious own goal potential, particularly if e.g. some delegations enter the DNC waiving Mexican flags.  If the best way to turn it around would be to do something like this with Mexican American vets:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jro-tNUYhSg

Maybe in theory, but it's just not the same in practice. Mexican-American veterans fought in a largely desegregated (for English-speaking Latinos at least) military and desegregated units. The Irish and other immigrant groups form localized units organized largely around local cultural unity. Which is of course how we got units like the Irish Brigade.

Latino Vets really only fought under the Stars and Bars. While proud of their heritage, I suspect most might be offended at being asked to parade under a foreign flag in their status as veterans just for a convention photo op.

There you go again right from the lefts playbook identity politics and using the race card.    Thats not the context i said. I described anarchists trying to shut down the others rights to assemble and free speech which trump has a right to as a candidate.

1) Don't those protesters have exactly the same right as Trump and his supporters to assemble and exercise free speech? Is Trump's speech INSIDE the facility actually being stopped?

2) You made it very clear that "second amendment remedies" were an appropriate response to these "3rd world" Mexican flag waving protesters demonstrating against Trump. Your words, not mine.

3) For someone who screams about "identity politics", YOU are the one who expressed undisguised disgust at these 3rd world protesters waving Mexican flags. Pro tip: You can't say thinly veiled racist things, and then whine about "the race card" when someone calls you on it.

4) I say this all as a Republican who can actually count and understands young voters--including those who may be receptive to a reasonable Republican--don't consider multiculturalism a dirty word. I'm anything but a "leftist" for pointing out that Trump's "white power" electoral strategy is not only folly, but inherently ugly, wounding the GOP's prospects and soul in the longer terms.
