Because it is important for him to fight the scourge of dour, boring, traditionally conservative, yet non-practicing cultural Catholics of ethno-religious Irish ancestry living in a suburb somewhere in the  Northeast who would find Ingress to be the most offensive and unholy thing in existence, if they even knew or cared what it was.
