Rebuilding of Notre Dame Cathedral

Edouard Philippe, in his new book, suggested that he disagreed with Emmanuel Macron's decision to rebuild Notre-Dame identically to how it was before the fire. He said had he been president, he would have persisted with the architectural competition.

Huh, that actually surprises me. Philippe being from a real political party and having on-the-ground experience, I would have thought he'd be more likely to understand that this was a terrible galaxy-brained idea.
