As someone who's been called a homophobe by Snowguy before and who generally thinks he's a rambling, pompous asshole, I'll defend his right to call posters homophobes. Homophobia is a defined attitude that real people display, so whether or not a given individual displays it or not is absolutely up for debate.

I'm guessing the issue was me arguing against people who completely demonize any opponent of SSM while being perfectly fine with conservative economic policies that leave people in misery (which I don't think is minimizing anything, but whatever). Anyway, if you want to put this issue behind us I'm more than happy to.

The forum mod team has decided that characterizing someone's political views in a way they disagree with is a personal attack if the mod team decides that the characterization is wrong and also not nice (or something, the last part of the definition is very fuzzy).
