That's one less Republican trifecta, so good.
Although since I despise the IDC for being traitors I have to be consistent and say this guy is too. If you want to be an independent, you should run as an independent.
Ironically, Alaska seems to be a state where that is actually an option.
One thing I would note with the IDC is that, afaik, they were more motivated by power and greed than good govt or ideological concerns. The fact that they all hailed from districts rated between Safe D and Absurdly Safe D was just the cherry on top.
Still, I think it's a pretty sound principle that if you use a party's label to get elected you owe some loyalty to that party at least in procedural votes.
