Meh. What really strikes me about myself, is really how I've managed to progress succesfully in life (at least for now) despite my huge (and, dare I say, somewhat Bushie-esque) character flaws.

Am I a FF or a HP? I mean well, I think my morals are solid, and, while lacking the ambition to have a positive impact on the world, I'm genuinely striving to not have a negative impact. It's probably not enough, but better than nothing.

I'm an "HP".

And by that I mean I realize that nobody "deserves" anything in life and I have a very cynical outlook.

Most people call this being a Horrible Person, I just call it being smart and a survivor. My cynicism has never led my astray and the times I do try to be sympathetic always works against me. Other People are largely predictable and pathetic.

It would be treason against myself to feel for them any more then they can benefit me personally.

It's terrible but it's just so true.

What you describe sounds an awful lot like the mental condition known as Antisocial Personality Disorder. I would advise you to seek psychological counsel.

And become a weak victim who exists to be exploited like the others? I think not.

I didn't expect to convince you, and I obviously don't know you enough to be of more help. I should feel sickened by your worldview - especially for the good people around you that you're probably making miserable - but that probably wouldn't be fair if I'm right and you are afflicted by this condition. All I can do is hope that someone around you will realize that something is deeply wrong with your mind and alert the competent people.

I will also note that there is something a bit...weird with not granting oneself an FF vote. If you genuinely think you're a bad person you should probably change.

What if my main flaw is precisely a strong tendency toward inertia? Tongue

(BTW, I still not voted in the poll - I genuinely can't imagine calling myself a FF or a HP)

Lol, well, I guess... Tongue

I just mean that there is a difference in being flawed and imperfect and being an "HP". I was going to make a point here but I think it's best not to, when I think about it. So this will have to remain a bit vague.

There's also a difference between being a decent human being and being a "Freedom Fighter". Forum memes are good enough to judge politicians and people you only know through the internet, but it's a bit more complicated when you're trying to look at yourself.
