Don't know if it was intentional, but...

Ross Perot and Ron Paul in any election. Regan was the last time I felt good about voting.

RIP

A reminder that it won't be long before we become a planet with no living moonwalkers.

First Michael Jackson now this...

This one made me laugh hard (which is quite... unfortunate in these kinds of threads).

Breaking News: My grandmother has also devised a model to predict who will win the election this November.  She says Obama is going to win 310 electoral votes and every swing state including Colorado.

She's correctly predicted every election since 1956, so I think we should take her word for it.

I love the the desperate attempt to make Romney's "middle class" comment not seem ridiculous.

$200-$250k OR LESS FOR HOUSEHOLD is considered middle income, stop twisting the words around.
a household making 250K is not middle class, unless they have 4 or more dependents.
What if there were 4 people living in a household?  $50k-$75k annually is considered middle income.

No, it's not.  The median family brings in $50,000 a year, and  if you divided it by 4 (assuming there are 2 parents and 2 children) that would be $12,500 per. capita.  Thus, $50k-$75k is actually high.
I'm saying if there were 4 adults living in a household and each one made $50k-$75k a year, that's still considered middle income.  What if they wanted to all live in the same house for whatever reason?

That is highly atypical. We're talking about real American families, not the cast of Jersey Shore.
Maybe some people don't want to own a home or start a family, not everybody lives a traditional lifestyle.

Phil called Xahar a "street rat". Someone pulled the racism card.  Phil got pissed and made some personall attacks.  Battle ensued.

The "personal attack" phase was the last thing I saw before leaving the forum. I was looking for more details about the "ensuing battle".

I just read the first 111 pages of this thread and have come to the conclusion that only someone with no friends would read the first 111 pages of this thread.

I am starting to think Romney is trolling Republicans.

Man, Bozo the clown trying to save his campaign by going full Obama? Really?

He thought he could beat Ted Kennedy by BECOMING Ted Kennedy back in '94, and he's the senator from Massachusetts, right?

The event is comic in and of itself, though.

LOL @ Democrats who think Romney is going the way of Mondale.

What are you going to do when Romney wins on Election Night?

Get into my trans-dimensional flivver and head home to this timeline where Obama has won.  It truly is a shame that one can't stay too long in other timelines without risking insanity.  That one where President Hollings used his veto to made certain that Social Security was not used to make the deficit appear like it had disappeared when it hadn't is one I would really like to live in.  Of course, the less said about that timeline where Perot won, the better.

Todd Akin wouldn't agree to filibuster any bills. He's spoken with several political scientists and they have assured him that when Democrats propose socialist legislation, the Congress has natural mechanisms to shut that down.

Wait, even better idea! Newt Gingrich will barge onto the stage just as the candidates are walking up, and he pushes Mitt away from the podium, quickly and loudly announcing himself as the true Republican candidate. He announces that he legally changed his name to "Willard Mitt Romney" in late June, and due to some arcane technicality in RNC bylaws he's actually been the GOP nominee all along. The debate is momentarily put on hold as reporters and fact-checkers verify the claims. He turns out to be correct; Mitt Romney sheds a single tear and walks away, rejected and disappointed, with a soft "gosh darnit" heard from his lips as he manages to maneuver himself through the entire audience while looking down at his feet the entire time.

The bewildered Obama loses the debate in a rout due to Newt's charisma and sheer masculine energy. The sound clip of the night is Obama confusingly stating, "well- yes, I suppose if- I guess that when you uh- put it that way, Mr. Gingrich, sir, I think I really am a Saul Alinksky radical." This unprecedented defeat leaves Obama trailing badly in the polls; Newt/"Romney"'s lead becomes further intensified after the VP debates where Biden accidentally says "And Newt, honest to God, he's even better than Ronald Reagan" in the middle of a response regarding Paul Ryan's entitlement reform ideas.

Unable to face the transformative and desicive leadership of the Future Leader of the Free World, Democrats nationwide succumb to Newt Energy: the GOP rides Newt's massive coattails to supermajority control of Congress, where they immediately amend the Constitution to make Gingrich president for life.

And thus began the greatest era of freedom and prosperity America (and the moon) will ever know.
