All the great country singers are dead now.

No, George Jones is still around. And I would put George Strait as near great.

greatest country singer ever?  no.

listen to jimmie rodgers, roy acuff, ernest tubb, hank williams...

dont get me wrong im a johnny cash fan.  waylon jennings is probably my favorite singer from the cash generation/
Never liked Hank Williams. Jimmie Rodgers is cool. But, to me, the GOAT has to be Dock Boggs.

How can you NOT like Hank Williams?

"Theirs a tear in my beer,
cause I'm cryin over you...
you were on my lonesome mind..."

Ever listen to Johnny Paycheck?

"Take this job and shove it,
I ain't workin' here no more.
My woman done left....
and took all the reasons I was a workin for"

I am not a country music fan at all, but I always liked Johnny Cash.
"San Quentin I hare every inch of you."
"Kickin' and a gougin' in the mud and the blood and the beer."
"I ain't sayin' I beat the devil, but I'm drinkin' his beer for nothin' "
My dad was a big Cash fan

You live in Oklahoma and you don't like Garth? Tongue Are you sure you were born in Oklahoma? Smiley
