I can hardly think of a more burning issue than this.  I burn with indignation every time I hear the word "mankind" or realize that the word "woman" contains right within it the word to describe the vile specimens of the male gender that has oppressed, beaten and abused women on such a large scale for thousands of years.

I'd say that yes Jefferson Davis was worse than Osama bin Laden is.  Bin Laden might have killed a lot of people and want to kill a whole bunch more but he never kept millions of people in slavery.  The entire southern elite was collectively worse than Al-Queda.  The bulk of southerners were just dumb enough to go to war for the benefit of the southern elite.
