The Lib Dems were projected to win 53 seats in the 2005 BBC Exit Poll....they in fact won 62 seats.

Was the Independent a left-winger?

The Tories are now projected to win 305 seats, and the Lib Dems are projected to win 61 seats. Labour and the Others are still the same.

Margaret Hodge doesn't sound completely confident.

Considering he's a Tory, Nick Robinson seems very bi-partisan.

Gisela Stuart may have held on in Birmingham Edgbaston.

The Labour vote seems to be going down badly in their Northern strongholds.

Why would a self-described "libertarian" like you support fascistic parties like UKIP and the BNP?

Was Gisela Stuart's win in Birmingham Edgbaston the most suprising Labour hold of the night?

That random, unheard of, Indian Phone pollster was the closest. Who'd have guessed.

Also, the "Labour Lowest Share wins" rule, was broken.

I suppose Angus Reid isn't going to be taken as seriously from now on....

First voting intention for the next election. Wink

Con 38% (+1) Lab 34% (+4) LD 21% (-3). (changes on GE result)
ComRes/Sunday Mirror/Indy on Sunday

Interesting post-Brown bounce.

Only 5 years to go.

Which, based on UNS, would be:

Tories - 291 seats
Labour - 286 seats
Lib Dems - 45 seats
Others - 28 seats

Tories short by 35 seats of an overall majority

I'm suprised that the BNP don't have much support in Liverpool or Manchester.

Rudi Vis, the Dutch-born economist who unexpectedly won Finchley for Labour in 1997 and held it until his retirement this year - has died of cancer. He was 69.

Couldn't think of anywhere else to put this. RIP.

Very sad news. RIP Rudi Vis.

(Sorry to bump)

Just looking at some of the results on Wikipedia (again). Hartlepool was, er, interesting. What happened there?
