People who are outraged that Trump is doing this, remember one thing: A President Mitt Romney would have done the same thing, or at least something similar.
Not for legal immigrants, and not for naturalized citizens unless they committed crimes. That's how things were with Obama. Obama was never a soft-on-crime type.
He would modify that for economic reasons. But we will never know.
This said, I would rather be in the second term of Mitt Romney than the Trump nightmare, or the first Romney term with the strong prospect of him being the fourth President in succession to get re-elected.
