We see few polls of Arkansas.

It's surprising that as late as 2008, Hillary Clinton was frequently predicted to defeat John McCain. As late as 2010 the state had two Democratic Senators.

So why is Arkansas to the Right of Texas this year?

Arkansas isn't exactly a tech haven. The biggest high-tech employer in Arkansas, meaning the company most likely to hire someone with a degree in information technology, is... Wal-Mart, whose headquarters is Bentonville.   Texas has a better-educated workforce, and more attractions for educated people. It also has far fewer Hispanics. Arkansas is very rural.
I'm guessing that Arkansas is basically West Virginia in the Ozarks and Alabama elsewhere.

...Bill who?
