The gun law Hunter Biden is being charged for is stupid (and arguably tyrannical) and should not be a law. However, so long as it exists, it should apply equally to the average joe and the President's son. One way forward would be to repeal the law and simultaneously drop charges.

I'm sure that as we speak the NRA and second amendment enthusiasts like Boebert are working to repeal that law and prevent Hunter from suffering that great injustice.

I think he shouldn't, unless the investigation or trial is somehow extremely unfair/biased. If Hunter is guilty what he's accussed of - and that's an if as anyone is presumed innocent until found guilty - he should bear the consequences of his wrongdoings. Like everyone else. Still, unless there's clear evidence (which there isn't), nobody should blame Prez Biden. His son is 53 years of age and not 16, so why should his father take any responsibility for that?
