What's the last movie you've seen?

I was really moved, especially because our current economic circumstances are causing a new wave of immigration.

I saw last night "Kick-Ass". Contrary to others, I had no problem with Chloe Moretz shooting and stabbing bad guys or being beaten to a pulp.

OTOH, I thought there were instances where the copious gore and the sadistic violence seemed completely out of place, considering the fact that the movie was clearly intended to be a comedy/satire. It was a jarring change of tone which I found confusing and unnecessary.

Overall, a good movie but with some cringe-worthy spots.

I saw Super 8 too. It's a good movie but I don't understand why all that ecstatic praise from the critics. The only thing that impressed me was the fact that Elle Fanning is 13 years old (12 when the movie was filmed). She could easily pass for 17-18 since she is towering her older male costars.
