She didn't tweet about Palestine, she tweeted about how "Israel hypnotized the world". This is the most obvious dogwhistle ever. I refer you to the earlier pages lf this thread to read the arguments people provided about the viciousness of this tweet.

The fact that she didn't apologize proves to me that she's an antisemite, and that makes her completely illegitimate. Sad that Governor Dayton and many progressives don't care about Jews.

Yep. While usually I strongly dislike the "both sides philosophy", on this issue it's quite true- political extremists, both right and left, often search for boogeymen to blame for problems and enthuse the base. Jews, unfortunately, make great boogeymen.

The difference is that far-lefties try to ennoble their anti-semitism by claiming that it's just a byproduct of Palestinian suffering at the hands of the state of Israel.

The fact that you would compare a Somali refugee to an open white supremacist is pretty disturbing, in all honesty.

It’s Omar’s two tweets vs King’s decades long trend of actions and words. And you’re all “I literally cannot tell the difference!!”

The difference is that King has been a politician for decades, so we have much more material to draw conclusions from.
Omar had an inauspicious debut on the national stage and her unapologetic stance doesn't convince me that she will shy away from controversy.

1. Those were repeated tweets that occurred multiple times, instead of the one obscure tweet we have here.

2. They were rather explicit and were about many topics that were rather terrible, such as rape and child abuse.

3. The move to fire him was highly criticized and was lambasted by most media and entertainment giants.

These are not the same

They were also jokes. Omar wasn't joking when she talked about the evils of Israel.
