As if anything we say here has any effect in real life, especially in an election... 

I was talking about the pundits and political establishment, of which the article you posted is an example.

The pundits would love nothing more than a hotly contested general election.
The fact that they acknowledge so early that the chances of a Republican victory are slim is nothing short of remarkable.

And, again, the best weapon Drumpf will have to build up momentum.

I don't see the connection but whatever.
If you're talking about Democratic complacency then it's not going to happen. TRUMP will always find a way to offend and enrage people and motivate them to go to the polls.

It's not even sure that Trump will win the nomination.

Yeah but it's not like Cruz is more electable.
Not to mention the unpredictability of TRUMP's reaction after the nomination is taken from him.
