Cleveland has officially dropped its bid to host the DNC, as it's been chosen to host the RNC, and can't handle doing double duty.

Here's a handicapping of the remaining five finalists:

NYC and Philly are seen as the frontrunners.  The last of the site visits will take place in Phoenix on Sept. 10-11, and hopefully we'll have a decision shortly thereafter.


It's pretty amazing that Philadelphia hasn't hosted a Democratic convention since 1948!
