Is anyone up for a drafting game like this? It would function similarly to the Fantasy Cabinet activity.  Basically, over the course of the game, you will need to draft one person from each state. It can be anyone who represented that state- past or present- in either house of Congress. As in all drafts, any given individual can only be chosen by one player. If someone picks Henry Clay before you do, sorry but he is off the board for you.

The catch is that +/- a third need to be from the 18/19th century, a third from the 20th century, and a third from the 21st century. Someone whose career spanned two different centuries can fit in your choice of category. For example, if you draft Orrin Hatch for Utah, he can serve as a 20th or 21st century pick, as long as you clearly designate which.

Want to pick an all-Republican Congress? Fine. Want to fill it with abolitionists and progressives? No problem. But the goal is to pick your ideal Congress given the aforementioned guidelines.

If there is enough interest, I can start a public google doc so people can keep track of their picks and which individuals have already been drafted by someone.

Who might be interested?

Anyone else? I'd like at least a half dozen 'yes' votes besides myself, since it makes drafting more fun, and since people seem to drop out of these activities as they continue.

Please then- join us in the thread where the game is underway. Read thru the rules and if you like, make two rounds’ worth of picks.
