Wirral South is gonna be close. The Tories need about a 4% swing, but all the seats so far in the Wirral Borough have shown little movement, even in Wirral West and Wallasey were alot of Ashcroft money was spent.

FWIW, both increased their share of the popular vote markedly. The UKIP increase from 2.2% to 3.1%, and the BNP went from 0.7% to 1.9%. Increases of almost doubling and tripling their (still meagre) vote share is noteworthy notwithstanding failing to gain seats.

That's because they stood in a lot more seats.
