This is incredibly unlikely, but the next few days will be critical to Ukrainian independence. If they can drag out the siege of Kiev, killing thousands of Russians, than Putin might be forced to negotiate.

This of course assumes Putin still has some rationality left in his brain. And protests in Russia continue. And the oligarchs start getting annoyed. And China grows more wary of this mess.

So, how is the war going? Are the Russians going to take Kyiev any time so? Can the Ukrainians actually push them out?

It would be very interesting if the Ukraine crisis pushes Venezuela and Iran closer to the US. They wont be US allies for obvious reasons. But both nations abstained in the UN vote and are currently talking to the US about increasing gas production. Venezuela directly while Iran is under the table.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think the invasion will end any time soon. Putin is a dictator who doesn't care if his people suffer. Ukraine arent able to launch a counter offensive

Hope this isn’t a dumb question but is Kyiv safe now? So regime change no longer a goal of the Russians?

Is Kyiv safe for now? Have the Russians given up on regime change?

I'm guessing Putin's goal now is to eat as much of eastern Ukraine now for the strongest possible position at peace talks?

Yevgeny Prigozhin might be alive...

It's entirely possible Prigozhin filmed a video like this to be released in the event of his death in order to sow confusion. He must have known (or at least suspected) it was coming.
It’s also possible it’s AI. I’ve seen some incredible voice synthesizers in the last few months. In the video he says “it’s a nice weekend in late august “.

I suspect it’s not real. Why aren’t more mainstream news reporting it? Why have a fake funeral? Why wait so long to reveal your alive
