I would love to help to, as I believe that George Wallace is one of the most misunderstood politicians of the 20th century. He was really much more in line with Huey Long and William Jennings Bryan than Jim Eastland and Richard Russell. Then again so was Bilbo!

Anyway, I agree about that Wallace should choose Rhodes, as it balances the ticket between a populist and a social conservative. However I believe that the best way for Wallace to win is in a somewhat different manner than Historico:
Rockefeller beats Nixon by focusing his campaign on crime issues while also touching on Nixon's past failures

McCarthy actually beats LBJ in New Hampshire, but RFK dosen't run, instead waiting for 1972 or later. McCarthy is able to rally liberal support and beat Humphrey in many of the primaries, going on to barely win the nomination. This leads to McCarthy, Rockefeller, and Wallace. Logically Wallace would draw a whole lot of labor union and blue-collar support, as well as most conservatives. Now of course it would make sense to go with a different story too, but that would be the best possible scenario for Wallace, who could be seen as the "Real Democrat"

American fighters would observe the PLA crossing the Vietnamese border on September 31st......"

Great timeline, except that you may want to recount the number of days in September.  Tongue
Damn those 30 and 31 day months! I'll edit it. Anway, in my post, there is the end of what would have been a relatively successful political career. See if you can find it. First one gets a prize.

Well i'ts not so subtle. John Kerry obviously, which made my hair stand on end just because it was so well delivered! This timeline is really something.
