I doubt that. I was explaining to the secretary at a CPA’s office how marginal tax brackets work - that your income up to a certain amount is taxed in one tax bracket, past that the amount over the bracket is taxed in the next bracket up, and so on. Not some newbie, either - a 25+ year worker at said job.

The Secretary is not a CPA though

Yes, he/she's almost certainly smarter than one in my experience
