What good Republican option existed in 2012 after New Hampshire was over? Newt Gingrich was relevant for what? Another 3 weeks maximum? That's like 2 states.

And no, the numbers don't necessarily imply a significant number did that (though yes, many do exist) because Trump has caused the number of primary voters to balloon. You can't look at percentages to imply things like that.

I'm not sure who I would've voted for in the '12 primary after Pawlenty was out. I guess Huntsman, but I don't know if I'd pick him over Obama. Thankfully I was ineligible for the primary so I didn't have to bite my tongue with Santorum.
