I just made my Senate rankings, and he is number 2. I'd love to see him team up with #3 Tim Scott. That could be an uber-exciting ticket in a 10-14 years. Hate to take 2 Senators, but I was quite disappointed in the quality of governors after ranking them. There better be some pretty darn inspiring ones elected in 2018 with all the term limits.
Paul and Christie top their respective lists at the moment, but 5 of my top 7 are not currently in a Statehouse or Senate seat (former gov's in Huntsman, Schweitzer, T-Paw, Huck and current congressman Ryan while Cantor and McDonnell were forced to be removed otherwise they would be too. Feingold just beyond that too), so maybe I shouldn't be so limiting in my choices for down the road positions.
