Republicans have constantly underestimated Hobbs since 2018. We thought we’d beat her in the Secretary of State race after the incumbent controversial incumbent lost the primary. Then thought we’d beat her in the governors race this year because of her refusing to debate and purportedly running a “bad” campaign (she didn’t—she won AZ-01 and AZ-06 in the gubernatorial race). But 2024 is not happening. She’s probably the surprise Dem winner of 2022 as the party looks for a post-Biden bench.
