You say this Safe D yet the Democratic Party are trying to contest TX, a state that has not elected any Democrat at the Senate or at any statewide office in more than 30 years while Sen Ted Cruz is leading United States Representative Colin Allred by 13

Neither Hogan nor Allred will win but I don't see the correlation here. Cruz only won by 2 in his last election and his constituents will hate him so that's why he can be seen as a target.
