I am now one 2pm turnout report from a single KY county, two yard signs from a single PA town, and three tweets from a single user away from changing every single one of my predictions.

This site is ready to change from Safe Beshear to Safe Cameron when the next turnout report tweet shows decent turnout in some random rural county.

How useful are turnout anecdotes anyway?

Useless unless we have a large sample which almost never happens. Best to just wait until the actual votes start to get counted.

Two counties at 20% in and Beshear is overperforming his 2019 numbers. But it will tighten, which is why I said it's a good starting point.

More votes came in from Menifee and Beshear widened his lead. That's not the direction Cameron wants to be going, even if it will eventually go his way.

Seems pretty obvious to me that the state and national GOP put all their efforts in Elliott county for the moral victory while ignoring the rest KY.

To be fair we will still be discussing Elliott county for the next 10 years so I can understand this.

Beshear might be a tough pill to swallow for national Democrats but he can always just pull a Gillibrand and pivot to the left and own it.

Dems did the same thing in 2017 VA over one poll zagging and showing a GOP surge. Was probably Emerson too.

It's not an upset if the winner has high approvals and has led in every public poll except for one that was tied. A Cameron win would have been an upset.
