I don't see a controversial ending here.  The only votes being disputed are Gustaf and Barnes, both votes for PiT- who wins the election by one vote without either of the disputed votes.  Where's the controversy?

I believe without Jfern or Gustaf it ends in a tie after DC is counted for PiT. We need the final certification from Earl though.

LOL

I totally forgot about voting, then remembered and wanted to put it off for awhile and then totally forgot about it. So, what happened?

Drama(tm).

Both of you were potential voters that never got around to voting, but could have swung the elections. Amusing.

There will be no election-stealing and the claims of such are unwarranted. If your vote is deemed to be invalid it is for a good reason. It is something we all must accept, whether our candidate wins or not, because certain rules exist, as mind-numbingly complicated as the rules may seem. Needless to say that there undoubtedly will be a court case from one side or the other in an attempt to validate or invalidate some votes. This can only be decided properly by the courts, without our own partisan leanings in the mix.

Kyle, I know it's frustrating, but not knowing the rule isn't a defense for breaking them. You will know for the next time, but your vote is undeniably invalidated this time.

Let's see how Earl certifies the election and then cases can be brought properly.

So, what happens if this is still tied up in court when the new President is supposed take office?

https://uselectionatlas.org/AFEWIKI/index.php/Article_II_of_the_Second_Constitution
Section 3: Vacancy and Incapacity of the Presidency or Vice Presidency
If the Presidency shall ever fall vacant, the Vice President shall become President. If the Vice Presidency is also vacant, then the Senate President pro tempore shall become President. The Senate may provide by Law for the vacancy of the Senate President pro tempore also.

I guess it applies in these circumstances too.

MJ for President!

Just curious. Does anyone plan on actually bringing a challenge to the court? Or are you all just talking about it with no intention of acting.

I don't feel there's anything wrong with voters who don't take a super active role in Atlasian debate, as long as they actively vote, participate in the forum at large and keep tabs on what's happening here.

Surely not, but you (and by you I mean Marokai) don't get to bash the inactive new voters like CindyWho, recruited by Bayh, when Fritz has far more "machine votes" than DWTL does.

We aren't really conservative. But a lot of new RPP members came to the Mideast in the recent influx. Also, a number of DA members, while hardly conservative (myself left-leaning) respect DWTL as an effective and amusing citizen and enjoyed his time as Senator.
