Regardless, have you ever been there? It is beautiful, relaxing, nice weather, great people. The list goes on. It's just an amazing place to go to.

Why should I care who you were talking to?

Any state that voted 71.85% for Obama clearly has a not-too-bright population.

Who cares what the political affiliation of a state is? What a dumb reason to dislike a place. I have a sneaking suspicion that you are a killjoy. Hawaii is an awesome state to go to and if you ever have the chance to take a trip there, you should jump at it.
