Wow... didn't realize it was that low. But I guess that makes sense given his lack of appeal outside urban areas.

However, Obama won more counties in my home state than any democrat since Carter in 1976. Clinton got 1 in 1992 and 3 in 1996. To put this election into perspective, here are the number of counties a democrat won in NE since 1960 (excluding the 1964 landslide) and our republican ranking:

1960: 4/93 - 1
1968: 1/93 - 1
1972: 0/93 - 7
1976: 4/93 - 4
1980: 0/93 - 3
1984: 0/93 - 3
1988: 3/93 - 7
1992: 1/93 - 4
1996: 3/93 - 3
2000: 0/93 - 4
2004: 1/93 - 4
2008: 4/93 - 11
