TREATY OF TROIS-RIVIERES (1900)

ARTICLE 1
Any form of biological warfare, as well as all forms of chemical warfare with the sole exception of non-lethal tear inducing irritants for emergency domestic situations; are hereby considered to be ungentlemanly forms of warfare.

ARTICLE 2
The previously mentioned forms of ungentlemanly warfare are hereby banned within the territory of the signatures for domestic use, and for international use in terms of pre-emptive or first-use.

ARTICLE 3
The stockpiling of agents for biological and chemical warfare is hereby prohibited. All current stockpiles of such agents must be disposed of.

ARTICLE 4
Research on chemical and biological warfare will only be allowed for the purposes of finding countermeasures, antidotes or for purely scientific purposes. Incentives and support will be provided for experts in such fields to switch to non-lethal research. Signatures must share their findings with the Ungentlemanly Warfare Commission in order to prevent and/or deter the start of a new arms race.

ARTICLE 5
The sale of agents for chemical and biological warfare will be made illegal. Companies that held a role or stake in such fields until January 1st, 1900, and who may encounter financial losses as the result of this protocol, may be reasonably compensated by their respective nation if they so decide, under their preferred mechanism.

ARTICLE 6
The signatories will further formally renounce the right to non-first usage of chemical and biological weapons in self-defence for all time. To enforce this renunciation, all signatories will agree to enact immediate and full economic sanctions, including an economic embargo, against any nation that engages in ungentlemanly warfare after the aforementioned date. Signatories must also pass legislation or enact decrees that ensure compliance with Article 6.

ARTICLE 7
An Ungentlemanly Warfare Commission will be established in a city belonging to the Swiss Republic or any such other neutral and non-aligned nation, with participants from all signatories. Delegations from the Commission will be provided reasonably access to signatory countries to ensure compliance with the previous articles.

The Commission must ensure that the make up of delegations to specific countries places emphasis on neutral, non-aligned, or non-rival nations to the one to be inspected. Information thus collected will remain the private, exclusive property of of the Commission, which must enact regulations with harsh penalties for any actors who illegally access or divulge any of its contents.

Suspicion of non-compliance must be brought to the Commission, who will issue a report – by majority vote – within 90 days outlining whether Article 6 ought to be invoked.

As your Shah, I would first wish all of my loyal and faithful subjects a blessed, joyful, safe, and peaceful New Year. Indeed, one truly has to marvel at this New Year where we stand today in comparison to the disastrous destruction, devastation, and ruin that resulted after the former Emir passed on to the next world a mere handful of years ago.

While we have made extraordinary strides towards greatness ever since the Great Emir humbled the French all those years ago, the world has changed quite considerably since the war ended. Indeed, once again, the proudly defiant Sultan of Mysore is now bearing the brunt of these new times at the hands of Paris, yet again. This unlawful invasion in violation of the Congress of Copenhagen cannot, and will not be, idly tolerated by our righteous state. We call upon the King of Paris to cease this invasion and return to the pre-war order in the Deccan. And we call upon the international community to stand in solidarity with the people of Mysore in this trying time. Thank you and may Allah bless us all.

Scandinavian-Durrani Treaty of Non-Aggression (1901)

I . The signatories agree to respect the sovereignty of one another, and are forbidden from undertaking any action which would violate the national sovereignty of either signatory.

II. The signatories agree to a non-aggression pact, subject to renewal by the consent of both signatories five years from this day. Specifically:
A. The signatories agree to take no unprovoked action to acquire any territory owned by the other.
B. The Kingdom of Scandinavia affirms that no unprovoked attack will be launched against a Durrani Ship, and vice versa.
C. The Kingdom of Scandinavia pledges to not involve itself in any form in a conflict that includes an unprovoked attack on the Durrani Empire, and vice versa.

As such, the Court of Kabul has announced the immediate ban on all goods and products from the Kingdom of Lousiana. And the imposition of a total and complete embargo on them until they comply with the treaty again.

The Treaty of Delhi (1901)

The Kingdom of France and the Durrani Empire, henceforth referred to as "the signatories", recognizing the shared interest in securing peace in the region hereby agree to the following:

1) A non-aggression pact between the two nations, including a commitment not to enter a conflict in which the other signatory was the victim of an unprovoked attack.  "Unprovoked" is defined here as being the victim of an attack by a nation which the victim had not first attacked.


2) The Durrani Empire shall respect the rights and liberties of all Catholics within its borders and the Kingdom of France shall respect the rights and liberties Muslims within its colonial empire.

3) Aceh and Mysore shall become French Protectorates within the greater French Colonial Empire rather than being annexed into existing colonies.  While both will be under French administration and the Kingdom of France shall exercise full and absolute control over their military and foreign policy affairs, both protectorates shall be afforded a reasonable degree of autonomy such as the ability to collect their own taxes provided the colonial taxes are being paid and the ability to implement their own laws with respect to local and certain domestic issues.


4) The Protectorate of Aceh and the Protectorate of Mysore shall both be permitted to build a domestic police force to enforce their domestic laws.  It may be large enough to effectively enforce their domestic laws yet not so large as to potentially represent any threat to French control

5) The signatories agree to normalized trade status, including the lifting of the French embargo on the Durrani Empire and work to further improve economic ties where opportunities for such exist.

Timur III Coronated As Shah!

Delhi, Durrani Empire (AP) — In a spectacular ceremony, the now former, Regent-Shah of the Durrani Empire, Timur, has been officially coronated as the 20th Emperor of the Afghan Empire roughly 150 years since its namesake founder, Ahmed Shah Durrani, was proclaimed King of the Afghans in the wake of the Persian Shah's murder.

The coronation of Timur, held in defiance of the, now formerly, unchallenged French authority over the Indian subcontinent was catalyzed by a series of events that unfolded in rapid succession. French invasions of Mysore and Aceh alongside allegations of a French-backed assassination attempt on the previous Shah, Abdul II, had plunged the region into turmoil, culminating in the surprise invasion of French-controlled India by Afghan forces led by Timur.

To say it was a lavish and ornate ceremony would be an understatement. Indeed, one would mistake it for being held during the glory days of the old Mughal Empire. Held in the old Red Fort to scores of dignitaries from both far and near, it is guaranteed an event that generations of Indians won't forget.

Envoys from far-flung, yet international power players such as China, Scandinavia, Russia, Great Britain, and the Habsburg Empire were all in attendance, highlighting the geopolitical importance of the ramifications of this day. Envoys from lesser states included the Nawabs of Awadh and Gwalior, who had personally attended, switching sides when the Afghans invaded French India—followed by the Ottoman/Turkist Empire, Kamran Mirza Qajar, leader of the rival faction in the recent Iranian Civil War, the Emperor of Ethiopia, the Sultan of Aceh, and most shockingly of them all, members of the deposed Mysorean dynasty, ousted by the French takeover of their state and re-installation of the Wadiyar's. Warmly greeting the various envoys, the newly christened Emperor gave a roaring speech declaring "the Era of the Franks in Hindustan" to be over for good.

Following the ceremony, a grand military parade, cheered on by tens of thousands of awestruck Delhiites, marched down the "Chandni Chawk" road, as the locals call it, and into the Red Fort itself through the Lahore Gate where Emperor Timur was standing at the top of it in full imperial regalia saluting the procession. Spectators, who had remembered the last time the Afghans occupied Delhi in the 70's, marveled at the newfound grace and discipline of the columns of goosestepping infantry, artillery pieces, dragoons, and cuirassiers in comparison to the Afghans of then. Most impressive, however, was the deployment of zeppelin aircraft to photograph the procession.

As the golden Indian sun adorned its last rays glistening upon this ancient city, Timur wasted no time in resurrecting a tradition long thought to be gone: the durbar. As night fell, and the moon rose high in the sky, the Imperial Durbar was in full swing. Attended by members of the Loya Jirga alongside other local Indian, Afghan, and foreign nobles, including by a man claiming to be the heir to the deposed Mughal dynasts. Emperor Timur wasted no time in setting to work asserting his authority to the benefit of the stability and prosperity of his vast realm. Discussions at the durbar ranged from adequately administering the newly conquered territories to settling land disputes between peasants, signaling that he was prepared to take on the various new challenges to come.

The coronation of Timur as Emperor of India is a testament to the enduring legacy of the Mughal Empire and the indomitable spirit of the Afghan people. And as the Great War rages on and the world watches with bated breath, the emergence of Timur as a formidable leader in the heart of the Indian subcontinent heralds a new chapter in the annals of history.
