Ok, let's say that Adlai decides to wait the 1956 General Election and does not run for the nomination. With the support of President Truman NY Governor Averell Harriman contests for the nomination along with Kefauver who end up splitting the primaries. The Party Bosses go with Harriman as their Presidential nominee with Senate Majority leader Lyndon Baines Johnson as his running mate. President Eisenhower and Vice-President Nixon are renominated without opposition. So how does the map turn out electorally?
