had obama won the florida primary...

jesse jackson would be on day 65 of his hunger strike.

all of you obama supporters would be wringing your hands at the fact a black man was denied his rightfully earned victory.

but since it is hillary.  who the f' cares.  just toss those millions of votes out the window.

i understand hackery.  but at least have little sense of fairness.

give me one good reason why the tax payers of florida should have to pay for *another* primary, when millions of floridians voted in the first one?

I have a question for you: If you were a Floridian Democrat who, knowing about the state having been penalized, decided to stay home, how would you feel if it were decided that the votes would count after all?
Answer that, you hack.

news flash:  we are in a minority.

the vast majority of americans dont give a flip about arcane party rules and intra-party squabbles.

so i dont know how many people actually 'stayed home'  seems like turnout was pretty high.

you all just want to rig it up to were you can get obama to win.  some how some way.  you have your work cut out for you in florida.

and let me add....

ive heard many obama supporters (including some on these fora) advocate a caucus for florida and michigan.

let's use your turnout argument...you actually believe if you have a caucus in june the turnout would be heavier than the primary?

very doubtful.

again let's be honest, obama supporters want a caucus because he would do better in a caucus.

Here is the one good answer and I challenge you to be equally honest.  Obama has closed the gap in every single race that he has campaigned in including CA, NJ, OH, and TX.  Yes, he hasn't overtaken her but he closed the gap significantly.  A race for the nomination should be a campaign where people listen and make their judgments.  Clinton's margin is based on recognizable name.

Since the rules select nominee based upon delegates it would be unfair to simply award to the candidate with best known name in an early primary.

i dont buy that argument.

the democrats have rules that make it hard for a front runner to establish a huge early lead...since no states are winner take all.

Now with all the money raised by Clinton and Obama they should do a real primary and split the cost of the primaries ( they pay for it )

clinton would never agree and she shouldnt.

she won florida fair and square.  why would she advocate a re-vote...much less pay for it?

She did not win Florida fair and square. There was no campaign. If we had held the general election in January 2007 between Hillary Clinton and John McCain without any campaign, you know who would have won, right? And by a landslide.

so are you one of these obama supporters that advocates a caucus...even though the turnout will be much lower than the primary?

" lets have a moment of honesty here obama supporters... " by WalterMitty

LOL

Well, we agree on that.

of course im a political hack.  but im an honest one.

if obama had won florida i would say the same thing...we shouldnt toss those votes out the window.

in fairness, im willing to have a re-vote in michigan since obama wasnt on the ballot (even though that was his fault.)
