his presidency caused more long-term damage than any president since Reagan.

Ronald Reagan was the best president of the modern political era.

I like presidents that don't get dementia. Or f#ck over the poor and middle class with not only policy but an ethos that people on welfare are lazy bums. Or escalate the War on Drugs. Or sell weapons to Iran.

The last two are valid criticisms, but out of curiosity- who do you think was best president of the modern era? I guarantee Reagan ousts them.

I believe the least bad president of the modern era was Obama. And he's no saint either. And I don't want a bunch of sh!t named after him.

I like presidents who don’t add 10 trillion dollars to the national debt. So Obama sure as hell wasn’t the best in my view. Anyways, Reagan is the main reason why we live in the USA and not the ASSR.

I couldn't find the right reaction to show how absurd this is, so I'll just type this.

Took the bait my guy. What I said was still true (I challenge you to name a better one), but what I said was still bait.

The USSR was unsustainable and destined to fail. In any case, look at Russia and the former Soviet states now and tell me if the people there are really better off. Talk about sh!thole countries.

I'd love to hear you lecture LGBT and HIV-positive people about how much of a saint Ronnie was.

I swear to God, Americans try way too hard to one-up the UK's carpet munching of their rulers. Stop idolizing human beings, stop mythologizing politicians, and follow Christ.

I ain’t no Reagan simp, but he was still a good president.

Most everyone is better than Reagan just by virtue of not being Reagan! Clinton, Obama, Bush I, both superior (not that they're amazing, or even good in Bush I's case). Bush and Trump somehow became worse, which is really remarkable.

Clinton better than Reagan? Clinton bungled foreign policy more than Lewinsky bungled his manhood.

Clinton bombed a medicine factory and Reagan supported Apartheid South Africa, backed wars all over Central America (contributing to immigration problems in the US), supported the Marcos regime in the Philippines, supported Saddam Hussein even after he gassed the Kurds, supported the Taliban, and supported Augusto Pinochet.

Neither Reagan or Clinton should have been anywhere near the White House.

Illegal immigration to the United States would’ve been way, way, way worse if those socialist governments had taken hold. Not to say Reagan didn’t make mistakes in his Central American policy, but immigration is NOT one of the negative impacts.

Imagine citing the debt to argue that Reagan was a good president

Reagan didn’t increase the debt by 10 trillion.
