Mark Kirk. That guy was never getting re-elected. Clearly not how you do IL Republican.

My actively-serving choice would be Heinrich I think. Never really got that one, seems like a wasted spot. Talk about a wet fart of a recent congressional history in that state. Hard to compare unfavorably to e.g. NJ in that aspect but like, sheesh.

Ideologically speaking McConnell and Paul appear to be questionable fits for KY, but mutually it really works. See also the Cornyn/Cruz dynamic.
