How the f**k is an absurd posts thread named after Mr. Morden?

An absurd title is only appropriate, no?

Dr. Suess is bad, and you ought to avoid posting his content onto your signature.

Imagine hating on the OG Dr. Suess
I can't think of a single reason to dislike him and his books are dope
Something I'm missing?

Who is Dr. Suess?

(Dr. Seuss I've known about from childhood.)

An underrated reason why the Western Peruvian diaspora vote for KF is due to the past few years scaring them against the left. The likes of people like Jeremy Corbyn keeps the wounds of communism on their back, refreshened with the draconian lockdowns imposed by people like Joe Biden. Remember the huge swings Trump made with Latino voters, it’s clear that the international left gets them agitated to prevent their country from falling further to the lefts clutches.

Please list the draconian lockdowns imposed by Joe Biden.
You can’t even go too far from your home without a vaccine passport anymore. The fact that they’re implementing similar systems for procuring work and food is terrifying for a demographic against Covid restrictions by antisocial leftists.

Latin Americans value freedom of travel and getting up close to people. How else do you explain the #trendz

This is hogwash. Where and for what purposes are vaccine passports, in the unlikely event that any actually exist, required? Provide specifics or withdraw this ludicrous claim.

It’s right outside your door, you just need to remove the wool from your ears.

Possibly a new low here:

I just dont care if the delta variant is vaccine resistant.

Keep everything open. This variant was probably created by teachers unions in order to avoid going back to the class room in the fall

I'm just a dummy stating simple facts.   It's up to you smart people to deconstruct.

What if I am dumber than you?

Dumb and Dumber, the Atlas version?

IQ is useless. I have thought that ever since my sister tested higher than me.

Instant classic.

That seems like an obvious joke.

Did not expect Portnoy of all people to say this, but hey.

Tbh he's just paranoid about accidentally impregnating a girl and having to pay child support.

But hey, if this kind of thing gets people on our side - I won't complain.

That's pretty much the only reason "pro-choice" men exist, whether they admit it or not.

To be fair, anyone who's so terminally entrenched on one side of a debate can only think of the worst possible rationalizations for why others disagree. Take myself, for instance. I believe there are only two reasons that there are "cisgender" people (in quotation marks because one of them is, by definition, not cisgender) whose every waking thought is not "kill tranny". They either haven't figured out they're trans yet ("eggs"), or they're just trying to be polite.

Traditionally, you're supposed to let other people post your absurdities in this thread, but I suppose your way saves time.

As interesting as the Sealion discussion is, it's taken on a life of its own and would be better served in a separate thread.

They are running in a D+28 district.  Sacrificial lamb candidates are often whackjobs.
I think that even some Biden +30 districts could flip this year defending on how big the Republican wave turns out to be.

.
White women do not experience any oppression in our society today simply because they are women.

This is just… objectively false. I wasn’t aware that the Dobbs decision had a loophole that said white women can still get abortions.

Imagine thinking it being harder to kill your baby in some places is oppression.

Texas woman almost dies because she couldn’t get an abortion

Florida Woman Denied Abortion Miscarried in Hair Salon Bathroom, Lost Half Her Blood

Her miscarriage left her bleeding profusely. An Ohio ER sent her home to wait.

...and so on...

Imagine thinking that denying abortions in those cases isn't oppression.

DeSantis scares me just as much as Biden - both are extremely authoritarian sociopaths who we should keep as far away from power as possible.

I’m more afraid of Joe Biden and Netanyahu having nukes than Putin or the Ayatollah.

I'll believe Trump will win among young voters / make inroads with POC when he actually does.

Ah, to live in the world where Trump never gained with minority voters from 2012 to 2016 and then even further in 2020!

You can just ignore nonsensical crosstabs. You don’t have to believe them if they’re obviously wrong.

How's the weather in your universe?  Trump didn't run in 2012 in this one.

I said from 2012 to 2016. In other words, he made gains over Romney's 2012 run among those groups of voters (larger than his nationwide gains, and certainly far larger than his gains among white voters, it should be pointed out). My apologies if you feel like that was poor phrasing from me, but swings (and trends) are generally referred to this way, at least in the world of electoral analysis.

Yes, your phrasing was poor.  You literally said "Trump gained", which is not the case because Trump didn't run in 2012.  If you had said "Republicans gained" between those two elections, that would have been correct.

But I don't think there's anything about Trump specifically that caused those gains from 2012 to 2016.  There's a rather significant difference between the Democratic candidates in those two elections.

This is a major vibe shift in the election. pppolitics was a standard Dem hack with silly pro-Biden signatures, and prior to October 7th he had a big TRUMP FOR PRISON banner.

There’s no chance he’s voting for Biden.

I don't even understand this post.

pppolitics was a deeply partisan Democrat who’s been negatively polarized by The Conflict into accusing Biden of genocide. Many such cases.

Mark my words, what Israel is doing in Gaza will go down as a textbook example of genocide. Biden will go down in infamy as being complicit in genocide. The US's reputation around the world will be severely tainted.

This is worse than the 1991 Louisiana gubernatorial election between Edwin Edwards and David Duke.

He is right.

Yep, OSR was right to post it here!

There are so many things wrong with this case and I have some quite choice words for Mr. Bragg, but the most glaring problems are 1) Statue of Limitations and 2) NY doesn't have jurisdiction over a federal matter, and the Feds declined to prosecute this case. I think its incumbent upon SCOTUS to step in and shut the case down now. Usually, they don't get involved until the appeals process, but given the unprecedented nature of this case plus the horrific ramifications it could have on our body politic, its best to be shut down now.

In the meantime, I think it's incumbent upon GOP governors to use their powers to punish the state of New York. Shut down flights originating from NYC from landing in their states. The NY-FL air market is huge, so that would have an impact. Plus, you have huge airline hubs in TX and GA that would cause a harrowing effect on NY. Cancel all state-funded travel to NY. Not only does this apply to government employees, but also publicly funded universities. Any NCAA sporting events in NY would be effected. And make clear these sanctions will not be lifted until the case is dismissed.

Why is this the only conflict in which you’re not allowed to identify one side by their nationality? No one says ‘Likud is razing Gaza’ or ‘United Russia attacked Ukraine’. No one would bat an eyelid at a statement ‘the Israelis are in the wrong’ but for Palestine  we always have to refer to the political party  currently in control?
On a related note, why is the Israeli military always referred to as the "IDF"? Nobody refers to the American military as the "ADF", the British military as the "BDF", the French military as the "FDF", etc.

Because its full official name is the Israel Defense Forces.  It's similar to abbreviating the United States Air Force as the USAF.
