It's probably futile to try and inject a dose of reason into this forum, but I'm an incurable optimist. So...
There's a handy little trick in practically any browser: when you hover your cursor over a link, the ACTUAL destination of the link (as opposed to what the link claims to be) is displayed at the bottom of the browser window. If the actual destination doesn't match, it's a pretty good clue that somebody's trying to pull a fast one.
Give it a try. Among other things, it helps protect you from phishing schemes.
