So there are 5 options for democrats I see:
1. Run Biden anyway
2. Open primary: have Biden announce he won't seek re-election and let others run
3. Have Biden not run, cancel the primaries and have the party decide the nominee behind close doors.
4. Biden drops out during the primaries, his delegates become unpledged and can vote for any person
5. National primary: Biden drops out during the primaries. Dems void the previous contests and set a date for a national primary vote, giving candidates a small window to campaign, winner of this first of its kind primary is the nominee.
