Currently PA state law allows no processing of absentee ballots before 7 am election day. Governor Wolf wants to allow pre-processing of at least three weeks. Republicans agree that changes are necessary to get results more timely compared to the primary. They want to allow pre-processing starting on the Saturday before election day.

I wonder if there is a word for both sides getting together and saying "you want 3 weeks and we want 3 days... can we meet in the middle at 10 days?"  I know that sounds crazy...  maybe the English language doesn't have a word for that or this concept is something so outlandish that I am the first person to think of it (if so, I am claiming it now!)...
