In years past, they finished strongly among third parties and were generally considered one of the big three third parties along with the Libertarians and Greens. In 2008 and 2012, their candidate finished fifth. However, in 2016 the ticket's vote share collapsed despite a modest increase in raw votes. In 2020 this continued with the party's candidate Don Blankenship finishing in 8th place behind Rocky De La Fuente, Kanye West and Gloria La Riva. Were Constitution voters largely happy with Trump? Is it possible the party will gain in popularity again if the GOP nominates someone unpopular or insufficiently conservative? Discuss.
