174/400. Conservative.

This test brands Conservatives as dirtbags in some questions, by the way.
Well what did you expect from 'The Center For American Progress'?

That's actually something that pisses me off a lot lately. Describing your views as 'Progressive' is such an incredibly pretentious sounding term and an obvious attempt at spin. Why do media liberals seize on that term so much lately? I've never heard anyone in real life actually call themselves that. If you feel it's that 'liberal' is that un-salvageable of a term then just go with left leaning or something....

Although I suppose 'Conservatives' set themselves up for that given the obvious implications of that term too.

News-flash: All political labels/terms have some sort of pretentious condescending implication.
Until recently the only implications for Liberal and Conservative have been that the former emphasizes equality of opportunity/freedom and the later emphasizes small government/preserving the best of America. Of course the terms have been spun and misused beyond recognition at this point. Besides that, you have to admit that almost no one in real life calls themselves 'Progressive' except for the media and academia.

Not necessarily (or at least, not to the same degree).  But yes my primary problem is with the term 'Progressive' because of the general elitist attitude of the people who use it and the clear implication that anyone who disagrees is backward. Liberal had no such blatant connotation.
