Varies, but from experience it seems to alternate between some sort of crusader mentality and extreme cynicism. Either one is very disturbing, but I find the former more obnoxious. It takes a special kind of hubris and self delusion to think the US is the world's 'moral beacon' interested solely in spreading 'democracy.' At least the latter are honest about believing in might makes right pretty much.
