Congratulations to the Galician branch of Podemos, what an absolute joke. Fóra!

I wonder, is there any speculation about Rueda possibly leading the PP in the (distant) future? I don't know much of anything about him, but as we all know the list of historical presidents of the party has a Galician bias.

Should we read anything wider into Vox getting such a low score?

Probably nothing wider than Vox having little appeal in Galicia, which has been true in all elections so far.

Ciudadanos pretending they are still meaningful is quite pathetic and sad. Then again, a Catalonian election where they officially run and lose all their seats at the same time as Puigdemont returns (hopefully as a loser) would be a fitting symbolic conclusion to the whole story.

I see Basque Sinn Féin had a surge but still did not manage to overtake Basque Fianna Fáil (or should I say Basque Fine Gael?). Fun times ahead!

Strong result for the PSC, but I am here to mark the official passing of Ciudadanos, which hit the classic threshold of getting fewer votes than the Animalist Party (as well as fewer than there were blank ballots or null ballots). Won't be missed.

It is interesting (although unsurprising) that people with a foreign background are slightly more pro-independence than people from the rest of Spain. What I find really peculiar, even if probably driven by small sample sizes, is the other chart that says among people with a foreign background support for independence decreases with income, contrary to the trend in all other background categories where richer people are more supportive of independence.
