I believe this list is intended to supplement, not replace, the prior list — Barrett is still the single most likely pick for a second Trump term. This list is a bizarre combination of politicians (Cruz, Hawley, Cameron), ideologues (Judge Ho is a particularly nasty piece of work), and very normal judges (Peter Phipps has not, to my knowledge, been involved in any controversy, and his nomination sailed through the Senate unanimously). The absence of Neomi Rao is also notable.

Presumably it's engineered to drive conservative turnout, though I'd imagine the inclusion of Cruz and the like would blunt that effect...

Ah I see. I thought it was an entirely new list. Certainly the inclusion of politicians could have contradictory effects.

(if it was not clear my post was semi-sarcastical, I would not exactly be cheering for Amy Coney Barrett on the Supreme Court)
