Well...being a resident of OH-17 (yay Youngstown!), I'm a bit biased toward Tim Ryan, although I've campaigned for both candidates--Ryan since he first went to the state senate, then for congress from '02 forward. Voinovich I've campaigned and voted for in his last two senate races and his last for governor. I know...I'm a baaaaad Democrat.

If it comes to a matchup with them, I will vote for Ryan. But I think Voinovich would probably win.

The local buzz around Youngstown is that Ryan is "exploring the possibility" of running. No official word from him or his staff of course. If Ryan does run, I will be a very enthusiastic volunteer for that campaign.

Its not as if the Dems really have a chance of losing OH-17 if Ryan goes to the Senate.
