Ok, I don't want to shut down this thread.  Those are the opening lines to George Gritzbach's 1979 song "Sweeper and the Debutante."  One of my older brothers used to play it all the time, and I recently discovered a friend was a member of the recording band.  I just had to throw something old in that no one would recognize, since I don't recognize any of the new stuff you young'uns are posting.
