I actually have to give some props to rural schooling.  The linked report is two and a half years told, but it shows high school graduation rates in rural schools at 73%, only 1% below the graduation rates from suburban high schools and 14% higher that graduation rates from urban high schools.  In the last half-century, rural high schools, in terms of high school graduation rates, have completely turned the tables on urban high schools.  So, as far as I'm concerned, to hell with unfitting stereotypes and three cheers for rural high schools.
